Driven by the wind: Bye the Canaries, towards Cape Verde!

Sarah, Aurélien and Nael end their trip to the Canaries via Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro, three "smaller and wilder" islands with breathtaking landscapes. Last days in Spain before setting sail for Cape Verde, the longest crossing since their departure on the trip.

In this new episode of Pushed by the Wind ...the crew of Maloya are meeting up in Puerto La Galera. Sarah, Aurélien and their little Nael continue their trip to the Canary Islands. This time, discovery of three new islands - Tenerife, La Gomera and El Hierro - smaller and wilder than those visited so far, but which reserve beautiful surprises and magnificent landscapes.

So the trip continues for our three adventurers, punctuated by a spat with another crew for Aurélien (seeing an Aurélien is rather rare according to Sarah, so just for that, don't miss the video!), motor navigation due to the lack of wind, unsuccessful fishing sessions, fruitful but inedible fish, kite sessions or beautiful mountain hikes.

Sarah and Aurélien were thus able to discover Mount Teide - Spain's highest peak, which reaches an altitude of 3700 m - or sail alongside dolphins and pilot whales to reach La Gomerra, at 6.5 knots upwind, for a sporty arrival on the island! Discovery of the Gran Ray valley, paddle ride with Nael, discovery of waterfalls in a wild nature... In short, life is beautiful and the family takes advantage of these splendid landscapes.

But these stopovers are also - and above all - an opportunity to meet other young families with children, who are also embarking on a round-the-world trip, just like Tivano.

After spending many weeks in the Canary Islands and exploring the many islands - except for Palma - Maloya is now preparing for new adventures: Cape Verde. A crossing of a little less than a week, but above all, the longest non-stop crossing for the Pushed by the Wind adventure... More on the next episode!
