Helios 27, the family-friendly semi-rigid to be discovered at the Nautic 2017

The Helios 27, the new RIB from Pro Marine

After the presentation of the Helios 25, at Boot Düsseldorf in January 2017, the Pro Marine shipyard (56) will present its big brother, the Helios 27, at Nautic 2017 (2 to 10 December 2017). Discovery of this 8.08-metre semi-rigid for family use.

"In view of the commercial success of the Helios 25, presented in Dusseldorf last year, we present at the Nautic the Helios 27, which has the same configuration as its little brother." explains Frédéric Buleon, sales representative at Pro Marine.

The large aft platform (removable) covered with synthetic teak frames the outboard motor (200 to 350 hp) with long skirts for easy access to the water. A built-in ladder on the port side makes it easy to get in and out of the water, and a hand shower is within easy reach. A ski mast completes the transom.

One enters the boat through the port side door, which acts as a backrest for the U-shaped cockpit bench seat. The Helios 27 has been enlarged by 50 cm at the rear of the deck. "Behind the leaning-post, there is a 15 cm larger space to move around more easily. And the U-shaped seat on the back has been enlarged by 35 cm." says Frederic.

The dinette corner with a system of one or two tables depending on the number of people on board is the highlight of the deck layout. "You can eat on board for seven people with this large table system (2 tables in 1) that can be modulated." details Frédéric. Once the table is lowered, there is a beautiful sunbathing area of 1.85 m x 1.60 m. Under the seat cushions, the Helios 27 has two large lockers and under the central seat, there is a large and practical aft hold that can be stored right down to the bottom of the hull.

The leaning-post is equipped with a fridge, stove and sink to enjoy meals on board. The pilot and passenger seats, which fold down to allow you to steer upright, are protected by a spacious console offset to starboard and fitted with a high windscreen for good protection. There is space to fit a built-in GPS depth sounder, stereo, engine instrument cluster.

The offset console makes it easier to move forward, providing a port side passage secured by numerous stainless steel handrails. At the front of the console, a double seat opens into a large front panel assisted by two jacks for a large storage volume and optional chemical or marine toilets.

At the bow, the Helios 27 houses a 2.10 x 1.70 m sunbathing area for a relaxing moment. Under the solarium cushion, two lockers follow the V shape of the hull and offer plenty of storage space. Finally, on the bow of the float, a polyester platform can accommodate a swim ladder to disembark passengers from the bow, while the stainless steel davit is integrated into the bow with an electric windlass below deck.

The Helios 27 comes with a roll bar that allows a canvas convertible to be unfolded from the rear to the console windscreen.

"This kind of boat is designed to sail in maximum comfort, with sunbathing, a large aft saloon. Although it has the same hull as its smaller brother, everything on board has been enlarged to provide more space." concludes Frédéric.

We'll have to wait for the Paris Boat Show to find out how much this novelty costs.
