LH Boats 700, a plywood boat made in Le Havre!

The new shipyard LH Boats launches its first motor boat, the LH Boats 700. An open hull in plywood that combines style and lightness.

An elegant boat "Made in Le Havre"

As the name of his shipyard testifies, Bertrand Maillard, creator of LH Boats, is attached to his city of Le Havre. It is there that he opened his boat preparation and repair company Solutions Océanes Service and now his shipyard. The first model in the range, the LH Boats 700, designed with the naval architect Briag Merlet Ship design and the Le Havre design agency Racine Cubik, is an open hull 6.97 m long and 2.50 m wide. Its uncluttered, no-frills look is resolutely modern and elegant, as evidenced by the fenders custom-made to fit the wide bulwark surrounding the cockpit, or the carbon handrail.

Plywood for lightness

An original feature for a motorboat, the LH Boats 700 is built in epoxy plywood. This manufacturing method ensures a limited displacement of only 1 T without motor. With its maximum motorization of 200 HP, it reaches 40 knots on flat sea.

Her hull and wide step allow her to pass through the chop, leaving the crew dry.

A layout à la carte

Another advantage of the chosen material is that the layout can be studied à la carte, according to the customer's requirements. The first LH Boats 700 has a central console and a comfortable seat for the driver. Behind the driver is a piece of furniture housing an outdoor kitchen with a refrigerator. Side benches at the bow and stern of the boat complete the layout.

Approved for 8 persons in category C in the open version, LH Boats is studying versions with wheelhouse, or specially fitted for the wakeboard of the LH Boats 700.

Purchase or co-ownership

The boat is offered at a basic price of 50 000euros, with 115 HP. The LH Boats Club, launched in June 2017, offers a form of co-ownership based on a three-year membership to the club, at a cost of 20% of the price of the boat, followed by monthly payments of 120 euros, for twelve sea trips.
