The Aeroboat S6, a yacht inspired by British aviation and powered by Rolls-Royce

The British design studio Claydon Reeves has just revealed on June 1st its new concept of luxury motorboat, the Aeroboat S6. This yacht will strengthen Rolls Royce's links with the maritime industry, as the British car manufacturer will manage all onboard systems.

The Aeroboat S6 is a 65-foot (19.8 m) carbon and aluminum cruiser and is an evolution of the Aeroboat 50, a 14.64 m dayboat designed in 2013, itself inspired by the Spitfire, a British warplane used during World War II.

The London design studio Claydon Reeves will use Rolls Royce to power its new yacht, the Aeroboat, which will be part of a range of luxury models between 55 and 100 feet. The range is inspired by the design of iconic British aircraft over the last century.

The first Aeroboat model was powered by the emblematic Rolls-Royce Merlin V12 marinized. This new 20-metre yacht will combine the latest MTU V10 2000 M96 engines with Kamewa waterjet propulsion.

There is a very large bathing platform with a very modern design, blending the style of historic aircraft and automobiles, with two profiled side steps. The latter will be equipped with the Aerostairs system, facilitating boarding or access to the water by raising or lowering the platform.

The cockpit will house a large saloon as well as two sunbathing areas at the stern, on either side of a stylish companionway leading to the bathing platform, and the cockpit at the bow. It will be offered in open, hardtop or bimini versions. Inside, there is a cabin at the bow, with large elongated hull windows, which offers generous space for guests. This space also converts into an owner's suite, in addition to a second cabin installed in the centre of the boat, a galley and a bathroom.

Despite the length of the boat, there is also a tender garage for a 3.8 m boat or two jet skis.
