A gasoline engine must protect itself. If you run it on ethanol-fuelled petrol, you risk corrosion, scrubbing and varnishing of the pistons, but also poor water decantation (the water mixes easily with the fuel and passes through the decanter). For non-ethanol fuels, there is mould growth, corrosion, and reduced fuel efficiency and oxidation.
To avoid these phenomena, it is necessary to treat its fuel, in current use, but also during the periods of storage of boat (wintering). Quicksilver has developed a range of three products numbered from 1 to 3 to facilitate understanding of use.
Products mix with gasoline. It is advised to put them before starting its supply. But as in boats, the tank is often stirred by waves, even if the product is added last (to make a good dosage according to the number of litres of fuel), it always ends up mixing well.
1 Quickcare

It is advisable to treat the engine with Quickleen at least once or twice a year, especially when the engine is restarted. This product cleans the fuel system. It quickly removes carbon deposits from carburettors or the injection system, valves, spark plugs, piston heads and cylinder head. It increases the service life of the spark plugs and prevents the piston rings from knocking and gumming. The Quickleen is used on all 2 or 4 stroke engines and remains compatible with catalysed engines.
