The Italian designer Mauro Giamboi returns with a new superyacht catamaran project called Ego. With a length of 118 feet (36 m), this luxurious catamaran will have three decks to offer a large living space. To design it, the designer was inspired by the concept of "informal luxury". "The new clientele to be less formal in their approach to yachting and the informal layout and appealing appearance of the EGO will soon become part of a new catamaran superyacht trend." he explains.

On the largely glazed main deck with its rounded front, the designer has imagined a sort of loft. There is a saloon the width of the boat (12.8 m), as well as two cabins, including the very large master cabin. Mauro Giamboi used rounded shapes, both in the design of the layout and in the furniture. In this configuration, the guest areas are closer to the water than on a classic superyacht. Two additional guest cabins are located in the port hull while the six crew members will occupy the starboard hull.

A large bathing platform unfolds hydraulically from the main deck to provide a 12m2 relaxation area.

Ego can be built in composite materials or aluminium and will be equipped with two different propulsion packages, for a top speed of 30 knots and more, with a Hydrojet system offering a maximum speed of 32 knots. The most efficient conventional propulsion system will allow a range of 3000 nautical miles. "Ego will be lighter and use less fuel thanks to its two hulls cutting through the waves effortlessly, at any speed." indicates Mauro Giamboi.
