Defend the colors of France in Flying Phantom in the colors of Red Bull!

The Red Bull Foiling Generation returns to France in 2017 to find the next sailing star! From 8 March to 15 April, aspiring sailors can register on the dedicated website to possibly take part in the French final, and then the world final, which will take place in 2018!

The Red Bull Foiling Generation was launched in 2015 by two great Olympic champions, Roman Hagara and Peter Steinacher. The idea is to recruit 32 crews from among the best sailors in France - aged between 16 and 20 - through two events, which will enable them to be selected for the national grand final, which will take place from 24th to 28th October.

Initially, half of these 32 crews will be selected by a selection committee on the basis of sporting results. The other half will have to go through the selection camps that will be held from May to September, on the three French basins: English Channel, Atlantic and Mediterranean.

Once the 32 crews have been selected, they will have to qualify for the national final, which will take place from 24 to 28 October 2017. The world final will bring together 14 nations, who will have to face the best French tandem.

On what medium?

It is on board a Flying Phantom Elite that the lucky ones will be able to race. Equipped with L-shaped foils, this small 18-foot catamaran can fly to reach incredible speeds and go twice as fast as the wind.

For who?

Young French sailors - men and women alike - born between 1 January and 31 December may apply er january 1, 1997 and December 31, 2001 with a significant sporting career in the following media: 29er, 49er, 420, 470, 16 FT CAT, 18FT CAT, Laser, Flying Moth, Flying Phantom Series, Red Bull Foiling Generation 2015, Red Bull Youth America's Cup, or having been selected at the end of one of the three selection camps.

If you think you can match what the jury is looking for, register in the link at the bottom of the page. You will know in early May if your application is selected for the French final. If not, go to one of the three qualifications at sea.
