B6.4, catboat or houari, always elegant!

B 6.4

Following the success of the Anna catboat, Beboat shipyard now offers its 6.40 m sailboat in two versions, catboat or houari.

Fruit of a passion

B 6.4 is the result of a passion and a personal project. Professional photographer, Erwan Boisecq decides to build himself as an amateur Anna, a 6.40m catboat in strip-planning. Elegant, the boat does not leave anyone indifferent and is regularly asked if he would not build others. In 2014, he created Beboat in Arradon, on the shores of the Gulf of Morbihan, to give sisterships to Anna. It will be B 6.4.

Catboat version

Construction and adaptable rigging

For the series, Erwan Boisecq has chosen to abandon strip-planning for infusion sandwiches for the hull. Maintenance is simplified and the hull is less fragile.

The bridge can be made entirely of Oregon pine or simply dressed.

The carefully designed fittings are made of stainless steel or bronze. The spars are made of Oregon pine, made by the site.

The initial catboat rig, while aesthetically pleasing, can be sporty with its 25 m² of mainsail. Beboat therefore also offers a houari version of the B6.4. It allows a less sporty navigation while offering work to the crew member.
