Master Rooster is the IMOCA 60 footer who finished 2 e of the last Vendée Globe. Armel Le Cleac'h helmed it under the colours of Banque Populaire. But since this happy episode, this sailboat has undergone serious transformations.

Indeed his new skipper, Jérémie Beyou has decided to replace his daggerboards sabres by daggerboards foils. Particular foils since they have a kind of moustache down. At the next Vendée Globe, Maître Coq will be the only boat of the previous generation to have switched to foils. The other IMOCAs that have these appendages are all new yachts.

The confrontation will be interesting because between the 2 generations of boat the IMOCA regulation has evolved a little. Master Rooster has a different rig that allows foils that"push" a little more.

Thus modified, his skipper is not afraid to want to play in the yard of the new prototypes. No doubt that the 2 retirements in previous editions will further sharpen Jeremie Beyou's rage to win.
