Icon Yacht introduces a new concept of a 120m (400ft) superyacht, the Icon 400. This new type of superyacht has a superstructure (everything above the main deck) separated from the body of the hull. This floating superstructure feel is made possible by a fully glazed main deck. In addition to bringing an enormous amount of light into the boat, the glass roof also provides a breathtaking view of the outside.
This approach is quite innovative in the world of superyachts, even if hypothetical. But it shows what is possible in superyacht design.
When arriving by helicopter, access to the interior of the boat is through the glass doors, an integral part of this glass wall. On this same level is the large pool and spa, located at the very back of the boat, embedded in the transom.
The layout of the interior and exterior spaces provides an unparalleled large living space, stylized by columns and open spaces, loft-like. This impression is reinforced by the glazing all around the living spaces, stretching from floor to ceiling.
The ship has two helipads, as well as a storage hangar (for the helicopter) at the front, made possible by the X-shaped bow.
Notable features of the Icon 400 include an 8.5m submarine, Icon aircraft, 14m tender, tender garage, luxury supercar, show gallery, indoor/outdoor glass bottom pool, spa, full deck with pool, 84 m2 of spa and entertainment space located on the main deck level, panoramic lounge, 3D surround cinema, upper deck observation deck with panoramic view, wine cellar, cigar cellar and chef's table, as well as an open owner's suite, 5 guest/VIP suites, and a crew of 43.
With a length of 120 m and a width of 18.8 m, the yacht has enormous volume and flexibility in layout to suit any owner.
