A new stopover on the Mini-Transat Islands of Guadeloupe

This year, a new destination will host the stopover of the Mini-Transat Iles de Guadeloupe. How will the course unfold?

The route : Douarnenez âeuros Lanzarote âeuros Islands of Guadeloupe

The start of the Mini-Transat will take place on Saturday, September 19 at 3:30 pm. It will be visible live from the port of Rosmeur.

The skippers will set off for a first leg to reach Lanzarote (Canary Islands). They will leave on October 31 to avoid any risk of tropical storms when they reach the Caribbean. With this advanced departure date, the Spanish stopover will be extended. The sailors will be welcomed in the marina of Lanzarote, a new destination for this 20 e edition. The first competitor should arrive on the island on September 26 and the prize-giving ceremony will take place on October 7. This first stage will be 1257 miles long.

The competitors will then take the sea to leave for Guadeloupe and more precisely for the Marina du Bas-Fort. It is in this same marina that the sailors of the Route du Rhum are welcomed. The arrival of the first competitor should take place on November 14 as well as the inauguration of the race village. This second stage will be 2764 miles long.

Trophies at stake

Several intermediate trophies will be awarded to the sailors with the best performance each day.

Prologue âeuros Everything Starts in Finistère: an introductory regatta to recognize the starting route, supported by the Departmental Council of Finistère.

The CCI Guadeloupe Islands Trophy: it will reward the first runner to cross the Raz de Sein from Douarnenez (alignment of the lighthouses of La Vieille and La Plate)

The CCI Cornouaille Trophy: it will reward the fastest runner between the buoy of Saint-François and the finish line in Guadeloupe.

Eurovia/Cegelec, sponsors of the Prototype ranking. The Eurovia Cegelec Trophy will reward the winning prototype of the Mini transat ÎLESDEGUADELOUPE.

Océan Bio-Actif, sponsor of the Serial ranking. The Ocean Bio-Active Trophy will be awarded to the winning production boat of the Mini transat ÎLESDEGUADELOUPE.

The CLS Trophy for fighting spirit: it will reward the competitor who will have covered the most miles on the water to reach Pointe-à-Pitre.

Air Caraïbes Trophy: it will reward the best performance over 24 hours.

Postlogue âeuros Grand Prix de Pointe-Ã -Pitre âeuros Cap Excellence: a way for the racers to thank the people of Guadeloupe by taking on board young islanders.
