Armor-X offers a complete range of protection for tablets and smartphones. There are models adapted to the variations of these devices for the entire Apple range (iPhone and iPad) or so-called "universal" models that can be adapted to several devices. In the latter case, functions such as adjusting the volume or charging the device are not always accessible without taking it out of the pouch.
We had the iPad Mini model in hand and were able to test it. With it, the iPad isn't much thicker and is protected enough for navigation.
The film on the screen is forgotten both in brightness and touch capability. The "Universal" models have had a silicone film less efficient (it feels like it sticks on the fingers) and dirtier.
The Armox-X hulls are designed to withstand 1 hour's immersion at 1 meter under water (IP-X7). I won't risk it! But to use them in a cockpit with wet hands or under some spray, no worries.
