Weather station for Smartphone

The Swiss company Windoo presents the third generation of its mini weather station for smartphone

Many applications allow you to obtain local weather data from internet models. The SkyWatch is an application that uses a small external module, the Windoo, which plugs into the headphone jack of an iOS or Android smartphone. The module is equipped with a multidirectional propeller with its magnetic transmission for wind speed and sensors. It does not need a battery, it simply needs to be connected to the headphone jack of the smartphone with the sound level at maximum.

This binomial allows to measure the wind speed and its direction, the temperature and the felt temperature, the humidity, the pressure and the altitude. These data can be geolocated and broadcast on social networks, but also to draw curves with the history of measurements.

The anodized aluminum sensor comes with a protective carbon case and a key ring for attachment. It measures only 20 in diameter and 52 mm in length.

A small gadget sold for less than 100 euros here which will quickly become indispensable.
