List of nominees for the Nautic Design Award 2014

For the 2nd consecutive year, the Nautic de Paris, which will take place from December 5 to 14, is organizing the Nautic Design Awards. Conceived in 2013, this election aims to highlight the most beautiful creations of the motorboat sector. This year, two categories of boats are at stake, the Day-Boats and the Cruisers, which will be submitted to the public vote.

In 2014, two categories of boats were chosen by the jury, corresponding to very different uses. Day-Boats are generally used for day trips, so they are smaller and without habitability constraints, while Cruisers must be suitable for cruising, which leads to a different conception among designers. The selection criteria have not changed and are based on the fact that the innovations must be mass-produced and available on all markets. The awards ceremony will take place in Hall 4, among the most beautiful new products, on Friday, December 12.

Last year, it was the NC14 from Jeanneau that convinced the public and the jury with its different approach and its refined design for a cruiser.

A jury composed of industry and design professionals

To choose the winner of the 2014 edition, a jury composed of specialized journalists (MoteurBoat and Neptune, Sport & Style), foreign journalists and famous designers, such as Philippe Starck or the president Odile Decq, will analyze each winner taking into account its silhouette, its general design, its finish, materials, but also its implementation. As a reminder, Philippe Starck has collaborated in the realization of many boats including "Venus" for Steve Jobs and Odile Decq has signed "Esense" one of the most beautiful Wally ever designed.
