8M JI World Cup from September 5 to 13 in La Trinité-sur-Mer

From September 5th to 13th, the Eight Meter World Cup 2014 will take place in Quiberon Bay. The opportunity to admire the most beautiful sailboats that exist, works of art designed for the race.

On Friday, September 5, 27 participants from all over the world âeuros about ten nations in total âeuros¦ including France, Finland, Canada, Switzerland, Englandâeuros¦ will take the start of this 8M JI World Cup. La Trinité-sur-mer had already hosted the world championship in 2003 and the event had been a success. Every day regattas will be organized âeuros 9 heats in total âeuros from 9 am.

The arrival of the boats and the welcoming of the crews will take place on September 5th and the regattas will start on September 8th and will take place over 5 days. The results will be announced on September 13

An international and friendly event

The principle of this world cup of the 8M JI is that each crew is "sponsored" by a family, of Trinité or surroundings, navigator. Each crew and their companions are thus invited to visit the families to spend a convivial evening in their company.

With more than 370 people expected in Quiberon Bay, La Trinité-sur-Mer becomes a cosmopolitan place of exchanges and sharing. Everyone can admire the 8M JI in full navigation since the coast road, the point of Kerbihan and the point of Saint-Philibert.
