A documentary series follows a full season of ocean racing. The project is based on Team Actual and its Ultim trimaran. The aim is to show how a team and a 32-meter boat really work.

The "Ultim, Beyond Limits" series offers a long-term follow-up of an ocean racing project, with direct access to the preparation, navigation and operation phases of an Ultim class trimaran.

The format is based on six 42-minute episodes. It covers the various stages of a racing program, from boat development to participation in a transatlantic race.

The story is based on preparations for the Transat Café L'Or, between Le Havre and Martinique.

Teamwork around the skipper

The project highlights the role of skipper Anthony Marchand and the organization of the team.

"Being a skipper is a Monday to Friday job" he explains. " We don't realize how much work goes into the races".

Around the navigator, a technical team works on boat preparation, trimming and logistics. This illustrates a collective organization, despite solo sailing in some events.

Filming in real-life conditions at sea

The filming system is based on an onboard presence. Filming takes place under sail, in conditions that can sometimes be very challenging.

Cameraman Antony Ricart describes his first experience as a memorable one. " The first night at sea, it felt like the boat was breaking up.

In all, over 1,200 hours of footage were recorded. Editing took around 180 days to structure the sequences and reflect the different phases of the project.

Multi-media distribution in 2026

The series is available from April 16, 2026 on the Novo19 platform, with a TV broadcast scheduled from mid-May 2026 on TNT channel 19.

It will also be available on Prime Video from April 27, 2026, and on Team Actual's YouTube channel from May 18, 2026.

This broad distribution enables us to reach different audiences, from sailors to observers interested in the technique and organization of ocean racing.

A season punctuated by major Ultim events
