The new Maxi Edmond de Rothschild made her first tacks under sail off Lorient. An important milestone for this Ultim class trimaran, which appears for the first time under real sail after her launch and initial technical checks.

An eagerly awaited opportunity to discover the new Ultim
The first images under sail have been eagerly awaited by ocean racing circles. Now we can finally see this new giant of the seas in her element.
Off Lorient, the trimaran tacked for the first time in relatively calm conditions. These outings are an essential phase in the fine-tuning program. The technical teams observe the boat's behavior, check the onboard systems and collect the first navigation data.

For a latest-generation Ultim, these inaugural sails serve to validate the basic settings, the boat's balance and the operation of the foils that enable the trimaran to fly partially above the water.
Artistic decoration by Florian and Michaël Quistrebert
This first contact with the water is also an opportunity to discover the trimaran's livery. The boat features original artwork by artists Florian and Michaël Quistrebert.
This artistic intervention transforms the hull and floats into a veritable graphic medium. The luminous, contrasting patterns created by the two artists give the trimaran an instantly recognizable visual identity.
