The southwest coast of Turkey has long remained off the beaten track of the major charter itineraries, yet it offers conditions that are well-suited to both offshore and inshore yachting. With its sheltered anchorages, short distances and jagged landscapes, this sector of the Aegean is ideal for accessible and varied sightseeing.

A new departure base in Fethiye
The Moorings adds Fethiye to its Mediterranean network with a base available for immediate booking for the 2026 summer season. Situated at the end of a wide, well-protected gulf, the town boasts modern port facilities and is a convenient starting point for provisioning. On land, Fethiye combines Lycian vestiges, local life and nautical services, allowing visitors to alternate between sailing and cultural stopovers.
Coastal navigation adapted to cruising

From Fethiye, routes lead to wooded coves, sheltered anchorages and well-known sites such as Gemiler Island and Ölüdeniz lagoon. Distances are kept short, favoring sightseeing and generally mild conditions in summer.

The fleet includes two sailing catamarans, the five-cabin Moorings 4600 and the six-cabin Moorings 5200, as well as a motor catamaran, the Moorings 464PC. These units are designed for crewed cruising, with large volumes and autonomy adapted to successive anchorages.
