Announced during the Mets show in Amsterdam, Yanmar's VC30 system is an eagerly-awaited evolution in on-board control solutions. Designed for single, twin or triple engines, it is intended for sailboats up to 23 meters, powerboats up to 18 meters and pleasure multihulls.
Revamped ergonomics for more intuitive operation

The VC30 combines throttle, reverser, engine data display and mooring controls in a single system. The central element is a new 4.3" anti-glare color display, with optical link and NMEA 2000 compatibility. It offers good readability in daylight and automatic dimming in low light.

Switches, keypads and pushbuttons feature a coordinated, more modern finish, with improved water resistance and tactile feel.
An important point for installers is that the VC30 operates with a single ECU, reducing complexity and commissioning time. System configuration is facilitated by a redesigned graphical interface.
The aim is clear: to make assembly easier for worksites and dealers alike, for both original equipment and retrofits.
Integrated joystick and compatibility with Vetus thrusters

With the VC30, Yanmar offers a dedicated joystick control compatible with Vetus bow thrusters. A welcome addition for docking maneuvers, particularly in tight harbors or crosswind conditions.
The joystick is available for both inboard and outboard installations.
The VC30 supports the entire range of HVO-approved Yanmar common rail engines, from the JH-CR series (40 hp) to the 6LT series (640 hp). This covers a wide variety of configurations, from family sailboats to larger cruisers.
For which boats?
This new system is aimed at boatyards wishing to standardize their controls on units under 23 meters, as well as at yachtsmen and professionals planning to modernize their control stations. The VC30 is equally suited to sailboats, coastal launches and cruising catamarans.
