The DAME Design Awards 2025 reveal the equipment that's making yachting move

At the traditional Metstrade show, the 34? edition of the DAME Design Awards unveiled its major winners, illustrating the renewed vitality of the marine equipment sector and the increased demands placed on design, ergonomics and environmental impact.

A record number of entries and a struggling international jury

This year, the number of entries reached a new peak: 146 products from 37 countries were examined, and the judges selected 67 nominations, the highest total since 2016. The jury, made up of designers, engineers, naval architects and sustainability specialists, noted that candidates now came from both the superyacht and classic yachting segments.

Navigation instrument wins top award

The grand prize went to the LXNAV "E360âeuros¯Round Chartplotterâeuros¯", designed by a Slovenian company originally specializing in aviation. This 4âeuros³ touchscreen, with NMEAâeuros¯2000 connectivity, integrated charts and Navionics compatibility, impressed with its smartphoneâeurosstyleâeuros¯ ergonomics, small footprint and realistic price for the market. The jury praised the integration of aviation experience into an all-eurosterrain nautical product.
