In the wake of Nicomatic

This choice of architect and construction site is no accident. Sam Manuard is the brains behind Nicomatic the proto that has redefined Mini performance standards in recent years. And it's this pedigree that Peter has come to Brittany to find. At JPS, we know how to do serious business: from Class40s to IRC carbon racers, Nicolas Groleau's shipyard has built up a solid reputation. By betting on this duo, PGN Ocean Racing is clearly showing its intentions: to aim for the top of the table in 2027.

The launch is scheduled for spring 2026, with two running-in seasons before the big transatlantic leap.
An ambitious project

For this new chapter, PGN Ocean Racing is thinking big. The budget is commensurate with its ambitions, with a six-figure sum already committed to the design and construction of the boat. The team is actively seeking sponsors to strengthen its base and enable the campaign to be sustained over the long term. The Mini Transat 2027 is the central objective, but other events are already in the pipeline to make the proto shine as soon as it leaves the yard.
A mission beyond sport

Peter Gibbons-Neff makes no secret of his motivations: beyond performance, this project is also a vector of meaning. He remains true to the DNA of his previous campaign, by once again associating himself with U.S. Patriot Sailing, an organization that helps American veterans rebuild their lives through sailing. Every mile sailed will also serve to convey this message of resilience and reintegration.
We welcome the launch of this new project, especially as solo sailing in the United States does not enjoy the same aura as it does on the Old Continent.
