Long in the running for victory, Thomas and Benjamin âeuros bizuth in Ultim for this transat âeuros held out brilliantly against SVR-Lazartigue. Leaders at Cape Finisterre, back in the Doldrums, they fought to the bitter end. For Coville, 57, it was a return to the podium, which he had not occupied since his victory in 2017.

An intense race, a clear victory

This high-flying duel demonstrated the maturity of the Ultim fleet. It's a pity that Banque Pop didn't keep in touch with the race leaders, who suffered rudder damage in the early hours of the race. Tom Laperche confirms his arrival in the big league. It remains to be seen what the imminent arrival of the Ocean Fifty and IMOCA boats, still expected in the next few hours in Fort-de-France, has in store for us.
