Bonaire
Flat on the southern side, with mounds a few hundred meters high on the northern side, it smacks of a return to modernity and civilization as you approach Les Roques. As you approach this small territory, the scarlet-white salt pyramids betray the presence of salt marshes.

A few colonies of pink flamingos find shelter and food here...

Entry formalities

It is advisable to prepare your entry to Sailclear before arrival. Anchoring is not permitted in the lee of a charming beach. Some 50 mooring buoys allow you to moor boats up to 18 meters long, sheltered from swell and easterly winds. The lighthouses at Boca Spelonk and Lacre Punt operate normally.
A slightly expensive stopover, but well worth the detour

Given the cost of taxes for visitors, which are paid on arrival for a month, it's worth having several days to spare. ($35 per night) It's also possible to book a berth at Harbour village marina, as the anchorage is close to the center of Kralendijk, and many amenities and leisure activities are within walking distance.
Snorkeling, diving, water sports
Bonaire appeals to divers and nature lovers alike. As soon as you moor up, the spectacle of the many colorful fish begins in the clear waters beneath the boat. Around 800 meters off the coast of Kralendijk lies the small uninhabited island of Klein Bonaire. It is a nature reserve belonging to the Bonaire National Marine Park.

The islet covers an area of 6 km². This site is very popular with divers. The black coral reef extends from the shore to a depth of 35 meters. The spectacle of multiple varieties of fish and turtles delights bathers from the beach, or from a buoy designed for dinghies. Kayaking is also a great way to visit the mangrove swamps, especially around Bay Lake. The island also offers a number of good spots for kitesurfing, windsurfing, wingfoil...

At âeurosterreâeuros, the choice of activities is just as varied
Bonaire is home to dozens of caves, some of which are easy to visit and of great interest. A visit to the âeurosDonkey sanctuaryâeuros is also an unusual and enjoyable experience.

This sanctuary is home to several hundred animals that are very familiar here. Access is via a rocky path. On the left is the airfield runway and, on the opposite, a lunar landscape of five-metre-high cacti, thorn bushes and trees petrified by the adjacent salt pans. In the middle of the marshes, an impressive number of pink flamingos.

Washington Slagbaai National Park

Located in the very north of Bonaire, this peaceful haven boasts a rich historical heritage. The area is ideal for hiking and climbing. The most intrepid climbers will be delighted to reach the 241-metre-high Brandaris.
