The Spi Ouest-France, Europe's biggest regatta for sailboats, will bring together amateurs and professionals in La Trinité-sur-Mer from April 17 to 21, 2025. MACSF, a loyal partner of the event, will be lining up two 100% female crews made up of healthcare professionals. This commitment illustrates MACSF's desire to promote gender equality in sailing, in collaboration with the Horizon Mixité association, co-founded by sailor Isabelle Joschke.

An experience accessible to all

Whether you're a novice or an experienced racer, the call for applications is open. Motivation, a desire to discover and a team spirit will be your best assets to embark on this adventure. No technical prerequisites are required, as the project aims above all to introduce you to the joys of sport sailing, and to create opportunities for exchange between professionals.

A training course will be held from March 28 to 30, 2025, also in La Trinité-sur-Mer. Supervised by professional skippers, participants will familiarize themselves with the Grand Surprise yachts and work on team cohesion. This hands-on learning experience will be an invaluable asset for tackling the regatta in optimal conditions.

Practical details

MACSF covers accommodation, meals and technical equipment. Participants are responsible for their own transport costs. Applications should be sent by e-mail to voilemacsf@macsf.fr before February 7, 2025, stating your name, profession, address and telephone number. You can also mention any nautical experience you may have.
