Promising features

Built in epoxy infusion, the Ice 53ST displaces nearly 2 tons less than its cruising equivalent. Combined with a PVC sandwich with carbon reinforcements, these characteristics give it the stiffness required for a regatta program. Its steel keel, which plunges to 3.40 m, combined with a long carbon rudder blade, should provide excellent handling. With a bulb and keel sail assembly weighing almost 4300 kg, the ballast ratio is incredible on this yacht, which displaces barely 10 tons.

The deck layout is resolutely designed for crewed racing. Uncluttered, with no compromises on comfort, everything is designed for fast maneuvering. Its Axxon high-modulus carbon mast, held in place by impressive runners, reaches a height of 24 m.

The deck layout is designed for a large crew. Easy to access and well dimensioned, all maneuvers are quickly at hand.

Last but not least, Felci's successful design remains true to the distinctive style of the small Italian shipyard, founded in 2012.

A monastic regatta version

The ICE 53ST has two interior layout versions, to suit a regatta or cruising program.

In the "regatta" version, interior fittings are succinct and reduced to the bare minimum. No upholstery or other decorative veneers. It's all about utility. The chart table and kitchenette add a touch of color to this austere interior.

Bunks on composite frames will accommodate 10 crew members, four of whom will be seated in the saloon. Further forward, the forepeak is completely empty, its only use being to store downwind sails. The same applies to the area between the mast step and the forepeak, which is devoid of facilities.

Finally, the two symmetrical aft cabins are also equipped with two bunks identical to those in the saloon.
A cruising conversion kit

An innovation from the Italian shipyard: a cruising equipment kit is available for the Ice 53 ST. The kit includes several elements that transform this regatta sailboat into a more welcoming unit. Requiring between 3 and 4 hours to assemble, it fits into a small van and adds a cosy touch to summer cruising.
Handcrafted high-tech construction
The Ice Yacht shipyard is a small structure, producing around ten units a year. The team adapts to the different desires of its customers, and is able to offer a high degree of customization.
The use of carbon in the boat's key areas, top-of-the-range fittings and modularity all come at a price. In its basic version, excluding transport and numerous options, the Ice 53ST is priced at ?1,280,000 ex VAT.
