Rendezvous in the Canaries

On November 1, 2024, 26 boats will set sail from Marina La Palma in the Canaries on a two-leg transatlantic crossing. The fleet, comprising 16 monohulls and 10 catamarans, will meet in Marina La Palma on October 25 for final preparations, including safety checks, weather and medical briefings.

A transat via Cape Verde

Important dates to remember include departure from Marina La Palma on November 1, arrival in Mindelo (Cape Verde) between November 6 and 8, and departure from Mindelo on November 13. The fleet should reach Marie-Galante (Guadeloupe) between November 25 and 30. These stages offer participants opportunities to rest and refuel before the final crossing to the Caribbean.

A friendly event now on the calendar

The Rallye des Îles du Soleil is not a competition, but above all a celebration of sailing and friendship. Former participants are invited to join Marie-Galante to welcome newcomers, share experiences and enjoy local festivities. This community spirit is reinforced by daily pre-departure events, such as crew parties and aperitifs.

Preparing for 2025

For those planning to take part in the 2025 edition, meetings with the Rallye team are scheduled at Grand Pavois La Rochelle 2024 from October 1 to 6, and at Mille Sabords du Crouesty from October 31 to November 3. These meetings will provide an opportunity to ask all the questions necessary for optimal preparation.
