The Gulf of Morbihan is a demanding stretch of water, with its strong tidal currents and island-to-island effects. Yet few yachtsmen are aware that they can be sailed all year round. The Club Nautique Les Amis de Conleau relies on accessible formats to bring crews face to face with these conditions.

A Gulf classic with an extended coastal course
The Barabar will be held on Saturday June 13 and Sunday June 14, 2026. Created following the sinking of the Erika in 1999, this regatta originally linked Conleau to Hoëdic. The start, from the Corlazo bar, remains a tradition, although the procedure has been standardized with an official line.
For the second time, the finish will not be in Hoëdic, but in Le Bono. The course leaves the Gulf towards Quiberon Bay before heading up the Auray River. The Saturday stopover coincides with the Fête de la Musique. The return journey the following day takes the opposite route.

An open format for browsing and progress
Club regattas are open to OSIRIS-rated sailboats with a rating above 3. All levels are accepted, from beginners to experienced helmsmen. We provide a safety boat on the water during races.
The 2026 calendar runs from May to December, with a Spring Challenge (May 10 and May 31, 2026), the Duo de Conleau on September 6, 2026, followed by a five-day Autumn Challenge until November 22, 2026.
Registration remains accessible, with free entry to the Spring Challenge for newcomers. A crew exchange facilitates the formation of crews. In this context, the Barabar is a good opportunity to get out of the anchorage and sail in regatta configuration.
