Klakboat, the folding dinghy now inflatable

Using an inflatable cushion to ensure rigidity, the new Klakboat version is now available. Assembled and folded in a jiffy, this rigid dinghy is sure to come in handy on any boat.

The Klakboat is back! In 2015, we tested a first version of this folding dinghy . Made from compressed polyethylene, this boat is assembled in no time at all. Constructed from 4 bolted-together parts, simply spread the planking and the boat takes shape.

A red airbag

Compared with the previous version, the new feature is the inflatable cushion that now holds the boat open. Previously, an aluminum tube was placed in the center. Now, this large, heart-shaped cushion, made by Fendertex, acts as a stiffener, buoyancy aid and seat. The cushion is inflated on one side and inserted between the planks to hold the boat open.

New, more efficient shapes

With a more V-shaped hull bottom and higher bows, the Klakboat fends off chop better and takes on less water than its predecessor. The small forward deck is also larger for greater protection. Two adults can easily fit into this tender.

2.60 or 2.90 m

This boat, propelled by a kayak paddle, is available in 2 sizes: 2.60 and 2.90 m. Weighing just 12 kg, it can be stored in a boat's lifeline, for example. When folded, it measures just 50 cm in height. The Klakboat is available at ?1,500 and ?1,600 inc. tax, depending on size.
