Founded by Stéphane Christopoulos, a Franco-Greek with a passion for yachting, VoiliVoilou specializes in helping French-speaking yachtsmen discover sailing in Greece. VoiliVoilou is present in the most popular charter basins in Greece: Cyclades, Dodecanese, Sporades, Ionian Islands and Saronic Gulf. This year, the company is also offering new bases, such as Kalamata and Porto Heli, for those attracted by the wild coasts of the Peloponnese.
Theme cruises
Introduced a few seasons ago, VoiliVoilou's theme cruises are proving a great success. Relying on local partners, the rental company offers weeks combining sailing and various activities. Stéphane Christopoulos explains: "The 2023 sailing and freediving cruise will be repeated in 2024. We work with one apneist per boat, and participants come for their baptism, to discover wrecks or train at depths of up to 50 m, always under the instructor's supervision. Daily preparation includes breathing, meditation or yoga exercises, and the yacht is equipped with all the specific equipment and materials for freediving."
Depending on requests, the charter company organizes a variety of cruises, from yoga cruises with wellness professionals to gastronomic and cultural cruises with visits to olive groves and meetings with local producers. Sports cruises such as hiking, windsurfing and scuba diving are also available. Of course, Greece's rich heritage is also on offer for archaeology and mythology cruises, with visits accompanied by English-speaking guides to sites such as Epidaurus, the Temple of Poseidon or the island of Delos.
Tailor-made cruises
In addition to theme cruises, VoiliVoilou stands out for its ability to respond to tailor-made requests. By adapting the choice of boats according to budgets, crew and skills, the rental company is able to prepare a specific offer, while advising renters on the most appropriate itinerary.
To avoid the Saturday crowds, VoilliVoilou also occasionally offers flexible boarding for 10 days or more (excluding Saturdays).
Another example of the dynamism of this boat rental agency is its ability to organize events, such as the one held in October 2023 with the OSCAR works council in Lavrio for the Ariane's cup, a regatta in which over 70 boats took part.
Finally, this agency also offers boat management, from purchase, wintering and maintenance, to administrative and accounting management and, of course, rental.
