The Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) is a must-attend event on the American boating scene. Held every year in February, it attracts tens of thousands of visitors from all over the United States but also from Canada and even Europe.

For the third year, the show will be held mainly between the Arena and the Marriott Biscayne Bay. In addition to the downtown section, with its four side-by-side sites, there's the famous Convention Center on Miami Beach, home to small craft, engine manufacturers and equipment suppliers. Finally, the Yacht Haven Grande site is home to superyachts.
Over 1,000 boats and $1.5 billion in economic impact
Although the show mainly features boats designed for sailing in Florida or similar areas, it attracts a vast audience from all over the world, from Canada to Europe and the northern United States. While northerners come in search of the sun, many also leave their boats in Florida year-round. The sunshine state boasts over 1,000 marinas, or one for every 10,000 citizens.

Such an event attracts not only American professionals, but also brands from all over the world hoping to gain a foothold in the American market.
Regarding the numbers, the event is as successful as ever. The Miami Boat Show brings over 100,000 visitors, more than 1,000 exhibiting brands, more than 1,000 exhibited boats and an expected economic impact of nearly 1.5 billion dollars for the city.
Expected novelties
Every year, the show is an opportunity to discover hundreds of world premieres. While it's still a little early to list them, some players have already announced their world or American premieres.

Among the fast-growing segments multihulls, which are mainly to be found at Museum Park Marina and Herald Plaza, are likely to make the headlines. The world premiere of the Illiad 53F, the flybridge version of the 53S, will be announced. The HH shipyard will unveil the HH 44, a state-of-the-art hybrid catamaran. French shipyard Nautitech will unveil the world premiere of the 48 Open, while Outremer will exhibit the brand's latest model, the 52.
For power catamaran enthusiasts, the Aquila 47 Molokai, presented in Fort Lauderdale, and the Four Winns TH 36 will once again be the stars of the show.
As for monohulls, you'll be able to discover the new Boston Whaler 210 Vantage, the new Harris Crowne, a high-tech pontoon boat, and the Galeon 435 GTO, also unveiled as a world premiere. Motor yacht enthusiasts should also enjoy the Azimut 72 Fly.
