Lomac 9.5 Turismo: a premium semi-rigid for fast anchorage-to-anchorage passage

Italian shipyard Lomac continues to develop its Turismo range with the launch of the 9.5 Turismo. It takes up the stylistic criteria of the 7.0, launched in 2019. Here's a look at a particularly well-finished semi-rigid.

Aggressive styling

With its Turismo range, Lomac is developing units with a style that combines a clear-cut character, with a look inspired by military boats, while distilling hints of color and modernity. It stands out from the previous 9.5, which featured a more curved line.

This racy, aggressive styling coexists with the transalpine elegance of the fittings. Access to the boat is via the swim fins, but you have to climb over the back of the rear bench seat to reach the cockpit.

Plenty of space on deck

The deck layout gives pride of place to the pleasures of anchoring, as evidenced by the huge table in the aft cockpit, capable of seating 6 to 8 guests. This can be transformed into a large sunbathing area for 3 to 4 people.

Further forward, the console is impressive with its massive design and multitude of sturdy stainless steel handrails. The rider and passenger are well accommodated, with two seats providing excellent support. Sturdy stainless steel footrests ensure a seated driving position.

The furniture supporting the seats also houses the fridge, which faces the rear sundeck.

The Mercury electronic instrumentation can be enhanced with two 10" screens on either side. The switches on the dashboard should be slightly inclined for better readability, unlike the throttle lever, which would be more ergonomic if it were less vertical. The VHF antenna on the model we visited would also benefit from a location other than in the co-pilot's field of vision.

The cabin is accessed through a forward door. This gives access to a respectably-sized toilet, with washbasin and WC, either marine or chemical.

At the front, a huge sundeck takes up the entire space. It can be converted into a small saloon, in addition to the integrated seat on the console door.

Premium performance and pricing

The Italian manufacturer recommends a dual 500 hp engine. The model we visited was equipped with the maximum engine, i.e. two Mercury V8 blocks, each developing 300 hp. With this level of power, the shipyard claims a top speed of 51 knots, confirming the very sporty character of this new unit.

In terms of pricing, the basic model, with a single-engine 350-hp Mercury, is offered at ?192,600 inc. Our model of the day, with maximum motorization and several essential options such as windlass, comfort pack and bimini, costs ?309,000 incl. VAT.
