LCJ wind and anemometer sensors are used in offshore races
Fully compatible with all brands and without any moving parts, LCJ wind sensors are used on ocean racing yachts. In IMOCA, Thomas Ruyant has adopted it by placing a sensor on the masthead and two sensors on the stern. These sensors have been improved to increase the speed of transmission of the information provided, with the on-board central unit analyzing and synthesizing the 3 data. The violent shocks at the top of the mast put the traditional sensors at risk. The LCJ monobloc models are less of a concern, avoiding the sailor to climb the mast during races. These sensors are 100% designed and manufactured in France and remain of course available for cruising.
