An aesthetic and very resistant case
The Pod is a kind of case made of ABS (a very solid plastic material that is not affected by UV rays). It must be adapted to the size of the screen and the depth of the instrument. All the cables at the back are hidden in the Pod.
According to the number of devices and especially according to the size of the screens, one or more Pods can be combined. The boxes can be hooked together. One can thus nicely associate a plotter of 12 inches with a console (smaller) of automatic pilot.
Two fixing methods
This Pod can then be fixed according to 2 systems. The first one is suitable for steering wheel or console tubes. Adaptable inserts allow to cover all common tube sizes (25, 30 and 32 mm). The rounded shape at the back of the Pop is designed to fix the foot in order to adjust the inclination to obtain a good reading of the screen according to the position of the helmsman.
A second mount is also available with a swivel foot. This is particularly useful when you have a double wheel on a sailboat and you mount the plotter on the cockpit table, for example.
A high quality of manufacture
These cases are fully waterproof. When delivered, the front panel must be cut out to integrate the device. The Pod is closed by screws (nuts molded in the plastic) with coded pins to prevent theft. All metal parts are made of marine stainless steel.
Regardless of the mounting method, the wiring of the devices runs through the legs and into the tube on which they are mounted. With a Pod, no wires are visible.
A complete range
The range covers today more than 90% of the screens available on the market.
