An offshore cruising and racing yacht
The Wally shipyard is adding three new models to its Wallywind line, large custom sailboats that combine the performance of a racing yacht with the comfort of an offshore cruiser. The first model, the Wallywind110, scheduled for launch in May 2024, is designed by Judel/vrolijk & co, a naval architecture firm known for its high-performance cruising yachts. These new racing-cruising yachts, whose next two models will be the Wallywind 130 and 150, will be built in carbon fiber and equipped with a performance rig and two rudders.

Several possibilities for the appendages
Three keel options are offered to the owner: a fixed keel of 4.5 m, a telescopic keel from 3.95 m to 6.10 m and a lifting keel from 4.50 to 6.80 m. The weight to ballast ratio communicated by the shipyard for the Wallywind110 is 40 %.
In terms of equipment, the boat will be equipped with lightweight lithium-ion batteries, hydraulic pumps, Wally's anchoring system with the anchor hidden in the bow and the Magic Trim hydraulic system for the mainsail and jib sheets.

A fully modular cockpit
The lines are simple and elegant, characteristic of the shipyard. They show a flush deck with a very low roof and a lowered cockpit well protected by a nice height of bulwark.
The 80 m2 cockpit area is on the same level and occupies the entire beam of the boat, without the presence of coamings. The layout is fully customizable with seating, tables and sunbeds for up to 15 people. Only the two steering wheels and the companionway are fixed. The deck furniture is removable for a regatta configuration, and can be left on land. There is also a large protected deck equipped with a compartment for a 4-meter dinghy. The transom is clear for swimming and is equipped with a hydraulic swim ladder that retracts under the hull.

An uncluttered interior
Inside, the open-plan space combines dining, relaxation and work areas. A large skylight runs the length of the roof, complemented by the side glazing to bring in light. The engine room is hidden under the salon.
The luxurious forward owner's cabin can be upgraded to include dressing rooms, separate bathrooms and a lounge area. Up to 3 other guest cabins plus two crew cabins and one captain's cabin can be installed on board. Finishes are left to the owner's discretion, but the interior design is quite sporty with whitewashed wood and carbon details.
