Doggersbank, offshore trawlers with a robust design for very long cruising

Launched in 1968, the Dutch brand Doggersbank renews its range of robust trawlers for long-distance cruising: 4 models from 20 to 30 meters that can be customized and offer a large range with a very low cruising speed.

Trawlers for the big cruise

In 1968, Dick Boon, founder of the Vripack design studio, launched the Doggersbank shipyard. The shipyard, located in the Netherlands, takes its name from a famous large sandbank in the North Sea. It produces trawlers for ocean cruising and unveils a new range of 4 models, driven by the growing interest in its designs over the last two years.

A range of 4 models from 20 to 30 m

The Doggersbank 66, 76, 86 and 96 are between 20 and 30 m long and have a steel displacement hull and aluminum superstructure. Their robust design for long offshore cruising is marked by a high, defended bow for rough seas. Their huge tank capacity also gives them an incredible autonomy, whether it is with water or fuel.

For example, the Doggersbank 66, the smallest model in the range, has a range of 1 euro750 miles and fuel and water tanks of 9 euro800 L and 2000 L respectively. The largest model, the 96, is equipped with a fuel tank of 48euros000 Leuros! The cruising speed is around 8 knots.

The shipyard focuses on the family-friendly layout of 3 cabins and their bathroom - regardless of the size of the boat. The largest can be equipped with a crew cabin. The large interior volumes are completely customizable, as is the design.

With the "Doggersbank Offshore" construction package, the Dutch yard reduces the construction time to 8 months based on an existing platform.
