Garmin regularly announces a new model of its famous Quatix watch. It is the reference watch for boaters. You only have to walk around a boat show and look at the wrists of visitors and exhibitors to realize this. So much so that wearing a Quatix is truly a mark of belonging to the boating world!
3 versions with 3 different screens

In 2020 was launched the Quatix 6 in 2022, the Quatix 7 will hit the shelves. In addition to its connected watch functionalities, integrating a compass, a GPS and an altimeter/barometer, this watch for boaters comes with a brand new screen. Indeed, the Quatix 7 is available in 3 versions that differ by their screen.
From now on, the Quatix 7 has a touch screen even if the watch is also controlled with its 5 buttons placed on each side of the case.
If the three screens are in color, the Quatix 7 in its basic version has a sunlight-readable and anti-glare screen with a resolution of 260 x 260 pixels. First price, it is available at 699 euros.

In its Quatix Sapphire version, the size of the watch is identical (47 mm diameter for the case). However, the screen becomes OLED with a much finer definition 416 x 426 pixels while remaining in the same case size as the first model. This model is announced at 999 euros.
Finally, the top of the range model, the Quatix 7 Solar has a larger screen (the case measures 51 mm in diameter and the screen gains 3 mm more), but whose resolution is only 280 x 280 pixels. No doubt because of the solar panel that equips the top of the watch increasing the autonomy of the watch, bringing it to 37 days with the functions on. This top of the range is at 1,199 euros.
Connected, but also autonomous

If the Quatix allows connections with the brand's devices (autopilot, tracker) transforming itself into a wireless remote control for these devices, it can also work autonomously as a regatta or fishing watch with applications available for free: cartography, tide data, Garmin Pay (contactless payment), music boarding
