An innovative electric outboard
FinX teams have developed an innovative new outboard motor for recreational boats. It couples an electric motor with a moving diaphragm device that replaces the traditionally used propeller. Patented, the technology is offered in an initial model, dubbed Fin5, with a power output of 2 kW "equivalent to 5 thermal horsepower."

Respect for the environment
The electric motorization offers both the comfort of a silent navigation and participates in a more ecological boating, avoiding the use of fossil fuels.
Environmental awareness goes beyond that. A life cycle analysis led FinX to work on all aspects of the product, from the electronic board to the choice of materials. Whether it is the aluminum or the plastics used, recycling is taken into account.
Safety at anchor
The absence of a propeller is the other key advantage of the Fin5. It guarantees maximum safety of use for boaters and bathers at anchor. "You can swim around and touch the membrane in operation without any risk" says Harold Guillemin, founder of FinX.
The risk of mechanical failure is also extremely limited. The absence of rotating parts prevents wear. And shocks to the propeller or tangled wires on the shaft are no longer an issue.

Design and Made In France
FinX has also taken care to offer an outboard engine in the air of time. Its neo-retro style does not go unnoticed, reminiscent of the bodies of cars from the 1950s.
As a guarantee of quality and limited environmental impact, the production of the engine is based on a maximum of Made In France. Assembly will be carried out in Normandy using components produced mainly in France and Europe.

Adaptable to all boats
Easy to install, the Fin5 fits on a classic chair with a bracket. Retrofitting on existing boats is thus simplified. FinX also offers its 48V batteries for a homogeneous and simple solution.
The public price of a Fin5 is 2 500euros HT.
