Renting boats from individuals or professionals
Young start-up, Captain Skipper is tackling the market of boat rental on the internet. "The basic idea is to put people who have a boat in touch with those who want a boat. It's about both individuals and professionals who manage 5, 10 or even 15 boats," explains Philippe Relier, founder of the site.
The offer focuses on boats used for day trips. Mainly motor boats, their length is generally between 5 and 10 meters. The fleet is mainly located in the French Mediterranean, with international development to come.

A human team at the service of the yachtsman
In order to stand out in a market that has developed strongly since the 2010s, Captain Skipper is banking on services. No anonymous operator or robot. "We can do the uploading fully automatically, but there is a real phone number to discuss and ask for information. Availability, listening, attention, we want to devote time to people" insists the founder.
Contained rates for homeowners
Thanks to its small team, Captain Skipper is able to keep its rates low. The commissions taken by the platform on rental transactions amount to 10% charged to the boat owner. Furthermore, Captain Skipper commits to paying the charterer promptly. The total amount is paid 48 hours after the agreement, in anticipation of the actual sailing.

A fluid interface for the user
Captain skipper is not content with offering an attractive showcase for the yachtsman looking for a boat. The back office dedicated to the owner is designed to be as simple as possible. He will be able to manage his options, from paddle to water-skiing, including the ice-box, but also the schedule of the boat's availability and the pricing according to the dates and his choices.
