A hybrid drive
The Pinball is a 9 m long and 3 m wide hybrid/electric catamaran. It has a 100% electric mode of operation with 1 hour of autonomy at 6 knots and 2 hours at 4 knots using port and starboard engines. The propellers, in the nozzles on the side hulls, allow the boat to be moved and turned. The maneuvers are thus mainly assured with the electric propulsion. The thermal propulsion is provided by a 350 hp Z-Drive engine. The speed goes up to 22 knots at cruising speed and 28 knots at peak. A 3 e the electric motor serves as a boost and turns into a generator to recharge the 20 kWh batteries.
A user-friendly deck plan
In addition to its propulsion, which allows it to navigate in silence, the Pinball is a user-friendly boat, designed for maximum activity on the water. Approved in category C, it can accommodate up to 15 people. Its layout is quite different and is particularly suitable for day sailing. The rear deck is flush with the water and can be raised when sailing to avoid drag. A gas griddle is located at the rear and allows easy cooking for guests. A large 100 L refrigerator keeps food fresh.
The saloon has a large table to starboard with an L-shaped bench seat. The cockpit is on the bow with an adjustable pilot's seat as well as a co-pilot's seat, a nice wooden steering wheel and all the necessary electronic instruments. Opposite, a small cabinet houses a sink.
On the port side, there is a very large bathroom with a very good headroom. On the starboard side, there is a storage cabin with boxes attached with hooks, similar to the storage systems found in airplanes.
Huge sunbathing area or cabin in camping mode
For those who want to extend their sailing with a night on board, the huge front sundeck - with a surface area of 6 m2 - lifts up to reveal a large bed, closed by a canvas, a system similar to that of a Volkswagen combi. The extendable T-Top provides protection from the sun.
Water activities on the program
To complete this user-friendly deck layout, the Pinball is equipped as standard with a paddle and kayak, which will take place on the metal structure of the T-Top. With this well-equipped and fitted catamaran, the Pinball Boat shipyard succeeds in its triple challenge of offering a hybrid propulsion system, a user-friendly deck plan and nautical equipment to have fun on the water.
