A customizable and durable sailboat
Like all Atelier Interface boats, the Flow 25 is built with a mix of marine plywood, recycled PET foam, bamboo and carbon fiber. Hull, deck and structure are made of CP and epoxy resin, while the roof and cockpit floor are made of bamboo sandwich with carbon reinforcements. The exposed bamboo adds a nice decorative element to the saloon.
Once the model is chosen, the construction method allows for great adaptability. Thus, the boat exhibited at the Grand Pavois, named Flow 25 Cruiser, has a higher roof than the basic model (1.55 meters under beam), to satisfy a tall customer. "I had designed a standard version, but the client wanted more room. We also customized it with a chart table, an extra locker and a place for a marine toilet with its black water tank. You can customize, that's the advantage of plywood" explains the designer-builder Antoine Mainfray.
On the rigging side, an AG+ mast and a 40.5 m² sail area upwind, associated with a hydraulic lifting keel (with manual lifting, to go from 0.80 to 1.80 m) should allow good speeds. The asymmetric spinnaker of 60 m² will brighten up the downwind sailing!
Generous cockpit and simple deck layout
When boarding the Flow 25, you will find a generous two-part cockpit. The aft, full width, for the helmsman offers a fully open transom, hosting 2 rudders on a transom, connected below deck to a tiller. A large locker in the aft section allows for equipment storage, accessible through a central deck hatch at the bottom of the cockpit and two plastic hatches under the helmsman's seats.

In front of the narrower cockpit are the two asymmetric spinnaker winches, Harken Air Winches. Finally, on the roof, all the maneuvers converge on a piano with two winches on each side of the companionway for the halyards and jib sheets, whose track is also on the roof. In the model on display, the owner wanted to sacrifice the aft starboard bunk in favor of an additional storage locker.

The front beach offers a real mooring.

A cabin adapted to coastal camping and rustic cruising
Once you go down the stairs, you discover a simple and efficient cabin with a nice bamboo/carbon composite.

In the basic version, two beautiful berths are located under the cockpit, in addition to a Breton bed at the front.

Two benches offer a real saloon. In the middle area, near the mast, a galley is located on the port side and the starboard side is dedicated to storage.

For the model visited, the owner chose to install a marine toilet. A chart table is also located on the starboard side.

The Flow 25 in its standard version is proposed at 62 000euros TTC and 64 500euros TTC in cruiser version.
Our opinion
Although it has yet to be tested on the water, this refreshing-looking sailboat makes you want to go sailing. It will seduce boaters in search of customization.
