This is the second volume of the adventures of the Terrors of the Seas. We enjoyed the stories of this trio of shipwrecked children that we had let embark on the Hermione in pursuit of an English frigate in possession of a treasure map.
In "L'or des conquistadors", Alix the little pest with the tender heart, her brother Arsène and the big brother Germain find themselves in Marie-Galante after an epic crossing in pursuit of the enemy. As in the first volume, if the story is totally invented, it is based on historical facts (the Inca treasure), also addressing the problems of slavery in the islands.
If the drawing and the story are primarily intended for children, the reading and the explanation of the text by an adult may open the eyes of some of our youngsters.
The pace of the adventure is still fast, with many fights or like all the heroes, our trio gets out without injury. This volume 2 closes the end of an adventure. A comic book to recommend to all (young and old) whose drawings in the air of time (with a false air of manga) will please a large public.
