JPB50, the semi-custom long distance boat

The JPB50 is one of META's best known cruising boats: robust and offering a warm interior for long cruises. Semi-customizable, it adapts to the desires of its owners.

The Meta shipyard, which built Bernard Moitessier's famous Joshua and many other ocean-going and expedition boats, is the specialist in Strongall® aluminum construction.

The JPB 50, designed by the architect Jean-Pierre Brouns, is an expedition yacht with a hull length of 14.79 m. One of its characteristics is to have a panoramic deck saloon as well as a more intimate saloon below. It is designed to make life on board as pleasant as possible.

The JBP50 is offered with two-keelers and different types of ballast: two-keel, full dinghy or classic keelboat. And the same goes for the propulsion: shaft line, sail-drive, classic diesel, diesel-electric, single or twin engine. The owner will also choose the type of sails, the fittings and the material of the mast (carbon for example).

Various layouts are also possible. In its standard version, the JPB50 offers two saloons and four cabins to comfortably accommodate family and friends. In addition to the well-protected helm station in the central cockpit, there is a second helm station inside with a chart table and a wheel.

Once again, it is possible to modify the interior plans to have your own layout. For example, one of the owners chose to integrate a watertight door on the transom to install a diving tank compressor and create a dinghy garage, with a bathing platform for launching.
