Two new dayboat models for White Shark

In June 2020, the French importer French Boat Market bought the famous open hull brand White Shark, which today presents two new models, the 240 Center Console and Sport Cabin.

Two ranges for White Shark

At the time of the purchase of the White Shark brand, the new management told us that they wanted to position themselves in the "Premium" dayboat market. Today, the brand has therefore been split into two ranges:

  • The Origin range composed of the 7 existing models, which will be the range of the original boats, a little vintage with recognized marine qualities. The models will undergo a few evolutions - for example the fixed bench seat will be replaced by a folding bench seat - but no big changes.
  • The Evo range which retains the lines of the range with a tuliped bow and a large bow area.

Two new 7.75 m models to come

The first model - whose production has started - is the 240 SC (Sport Cabin). Although it retains the same design as the older models, it is more sporty and dynamic. The marine qualities of the hull have been retained, although the importer tells us that it has further improved sailing conditions.

The rear of the boat is fitted with beautiful platforms, both for access on board and modularity, but also to bring even more balance to the boat. The cockpit gains in modularity with a fixed L-shaped bench seat and a table, which can be transformed into a sundeck. A livewell is included as standard for fishing aficionados, and a rebreather can be installed as an option.

The leaning-post houses a sink and a cutting board, but also the batteries and battery switch to make the most of the available space. A drawer refrigerator is also available as an option. At the front, there are two steering seats. The bow sundeck is equipped with a large sunbathing area, and the cabin has toilets separate from the bench seat.

The 240 CC (Center Console) - which will be launched in July 2021 - plays the game of modernity and modularity and offers an enlarged cockpit with a folding rear bench seat. A second bench seat nestles in the leaning-post, to fit out the cockpit according to its needs. The console is the same as on the 240 Sport Cabin. The forward sundeck features a large U-shaped saloon with a bench seat attached to the console, which serves as a storage compartment. Three other lockers are hidden under the U-shaped bow bench seat.

Both boats are powered by a single outboard motor with a maximum power of 300 HP, although the yard recommends a power of 250 HP.

"The idea is to offer Sport Fishing, but also and above all pleasure boats, pleasant to live on, even for regular fishermen. We will be able to go from island to island in the Mediterranean, for example, as well as fishing regularly in the Atlantic. We want to offer French-style American Fishing, with the pleasure qualities of a European boat" explains Kevin Pittet, Commercial Director of French Boat Market.

The new owners are already working on new models. A 270 or a 290 could well complete the range.
