Robustness and low motorization
The Open 170 fishing boat is built in aluminium (3mm thick) - no wood inside. It is hand welded, which gives it a perfect finish. This material ensures the boat's robustness, but also its lightness and unsinkability. Thus, the Open 170 does not need to be overpowered. Even though the boat can take up to 40 HP, it will make do with an outboard motor of 25 to 30 HP.
Several cockpit configurations
With its two benches, it can accommodate up to 5 people on board, especially for family fishing. It is available with a central or side console with steering wheel or with a tiller. The Open 170 offers an integrated storage space in the bow seat and a net in the bow to store some of the on-board equipment. Its two rod holders positioned on the gunwales at the stern will hold two fishing rods.
Easy to launch and transport
Unlike polyester and polyethylene boats, which are heavier, the Smartliner aluminium fishing boat is relatively light. It is easy to launch, just as easy to transport and offers good performance on the water due to its construction material.
A boat for all itinerant fisheries
With its fairly pronounced freeboard, the Open 170 will easily lend itself to fishing on inland waters, but also to coastal navigation or on large lakes. The Open 170 is suitable for all itinerant fishing, mainly fishing for predators (pikeperch, perch, pike or catfish).
