enovocean.com was developed by the French company Noveltis based in Toulouse. This company designs earth observation instruments (onboard satellites) from which it extracts data for its customers. In order to enhance the value of these data, it has started to model them. The next step was to offer weather and marine weather data.
All this information is now gathered on a single platform accessible online. Aimed more at a professional clientele (drilling rigs, maritime transport...), this site is also accessible to all and provides very accurate weather forecasts. If we find data from the usual sources (NOAA, ECWS...), we also discover the analyses specific to Noveltis (called Savas).
This very ergonomic site gives all the useful information for sailing: wind, waves, cloud cover, ice... Very useful for boaters, it offers a service for detecting rogue waves. Certainly on subscription (about 150 euros per week), it can foresee and anticipate the encounter with such seas.
