Fabrice Amédéo (Newrest - Art & Fenêtres) is forced to turn back because of a rigging problem.

Fabrice Amédéo (Newrest - Art & Fenêtres) took the start of the Vendée Globe this Sunday 8th November 2020 at 14h20 alongside the 32 other competitors in the fleet. However, the skipper had to turn back to reach Les Sables d'Olonne, due to a problem with the hook (attachment) of the headsail, which prevented him from lowering his gennaker.

Fifty miles away, she will have to reach the Vendée upwind and should arrive in the middle of the night. Her stopover should be short.

There are two options: return to the pontoons in Port Olonna or moor on one of the two buoys made available to the skippers in case they have to return to Les Sables d'Olonne for repairs.

The whole team is already working hard to solve this disabling but not serious problem.
