Sailart 18, an idea of what could be a modern microphone with undeniable charms

Well anchored in the present, the Sailart 18 brings an air of freshness compared to the Micro class. Of the same size, but modern, this small cruiser should find its place bringing fun and pleasure to sail with very few constraints.

The Sailart 18, the latest addition to the Sailart shipyard presented for the first time at the 2020 Düsseldorf Boot, is off to a flying start with 6 units already produced in just a few months!

Following the success of the Sailart 19 in 2016, the yard had to renew the 18' segment. This is done with a more modern yacht than the standards of the Micro class. This time, Frank Stoërck called upon the talent of the Polish architect Zdzislav Abrozej, who has made a name for himself with plans for the Arte, the Hot Boat, the Ambre and the Opus 5500, among others.

A sporty day boat

Resolutely oriented for regattas or for strong sporting sensations, it meets a demand for a sporty day boat for two crew members with a maximum sail area for its light weight of 490 kg.

A modern design

Designed in the image of the IMOCA class, with its inverted bow and chine hull, this new Sailart 18 is resolutely in tune with the times and appeals to all generations.

A maximum of attention for a fluid line: fixed outboard end, genoa furler below deck, anchor locker, large and wide self-bailing cockpit to facilitate crew movement and make manoeuvres more fluid.

The pleasure of sailing above all

Easy to launch, mast and dismast, towable by a small-displacement vehicle. Everything has been thought out for its ease of use both on water and on land.

This sport boat is nevertheless habitable with 2 nice XXL berths. A habitability quite rare among its competitors.

Optional extras include an even sportier look with a carbon boom and a set of Mylar racing sails.

Ecological navigation

Finally, there are large lockers under the cockpit floor to house the safety equipment and the Torqeedo electric motor. As an option, the access hatches to the lockers can be fitted with solar panels to ensure the engine's autonomy and the Torqeedo control box can be installed on the tiller.

Renowned construction

Finally, it benefits from a high level of manufacturing and finishing common to the whole range and which has made the shipyard famous for 27 years:

  • A double hull that encloses Airex panels in a sandwich, ensuring insubmersibility
  • High-end Harken & Spinlock fittings
  • One ballasted keel appendage (100 kg) liftable with a draught of 0.25 m
  • A C4 homologation
  • A real sport boat at less than 750 kg with its braked trailer

Marketed exclusively in France, Belgium and French-speaking Switzerland by Mini Croiseur Diffusion.
