Gala, annexes that keep on growing

With its aluminium shell, the Gala range is designed for use as an annex. But the larger models are also real boats in their own right, with layouts that predispose them to other uses.

For semi-rigid boats, the construction of the aluminium hull is often a positive point. Indeed, this metal offers more solidity for a lower weight than polyester. Therefore, aluminium semi-rigid boats are especially suitable for tenders. Indeed, these small boats often have to be transported on davits or carried on the beach (hence the interest of the weight) and can also suffer from shocks with sand or stones when approaching a shore.

Annexes from 2.40 to 4 m

The manufacturer Gala has developed a range of annexes from 2.40 m to 4.00 m. Welded in Ukraine, the bottoms are made of aluminium. They are chemically treated to protect the metal (pacified aluminium). Thus treated, there is no longer any risk of oxidation. The socks are either made of PVC or Hypalon. Hypalon is known to be more expensive, but above all much more resistant to UV rays.

These annex models are available with several layout versions. Either the Comfort version with a small console, or a more streamlined version with a steering wheel held in place by a simple bar. This simpler version is also lighter.

Dedicated models for fishing

But Gala is not limited to the annexes. This manufacturer offers larger models up to 6.50 m. One should note in particular the V650, a boat specially designed for fishing and equipped with a livewell, numerous rod holders, a pressurized water jet for cleaning and even a fitted T-top.
