The LetYourBoat website offers yacht charter. It puts owners, individuals or professionals, in contact with clients all over the world. In addition to the classic day trip, it stands out for its offer of boat rental at the quayside as tourist accommodation, called Bed&Boat. "The aim is to create a new form of tourist link. Sleeping on a boat is no longer a dream you have from the pontoon, as is the case for many people, but a reality," says Walter Vassallo, founder of LetYourBoat.
Affordable boats of all sizes
The LetYourBoat website offers a wide range of boats of all sizes for hire at the quayside. The growing fleet, which already numbers 400 boats, includes sailing boats, motor boats and small yachts between 12 and 25 metres in length. The price for one night of a boat, for the exclusive use of the renter, starts at 80 euros. "It's accessible and affordable. No more expensive than a hotel!" exclaimed Walter Vassallo.
Quality and services
LetYourBoat is committed to the quality of the hosting. The 400 boats presented on the site launched in 2018, have all been checked by the company. Rentals systematically include a civil liability insurance, in order to secure both the boat owner and the client.
Optional services are offered to the client and the owner renting his boat. "The idea is to involve marinas and service companies to offer options such as catering or babysitting. This allows them to have a less seasonal activity and brings added value. A "guest assistant" can come to check-in and explain how the boat works. It's a guarantee of security," explains Walter Vassallo.
Of Italian origin, the LetYourBoat site is well established in the peninsula and is developing in the rest of the Mediterranean. It is aimed in particular at France and Spain. LetYourBoat overcomes the phenomenon of seasonality and offers the possibility to live experiences on board throughout the year.
