A meridian separates the kitchen from the living room

For the fall of 2019, Jeanneau announces a lifting keel version on its Sun Odyssey 410. A model that should allow users of shallow anchorages or harbours to enjoy a 40-foot sailboat.

Jeanneau announces a lifting keel version of its Sun Odyssey 410 . This cruising sailboat launched in autumn 2018 is designed by Marc Lombard. It uses the "codes" of the 8 e generation of Sun Odyssey with, in particular, the inclined rear gangways. This particular design allows you to reach the deck from the cockpit without ever climbing a step.

This 440 also features an innovative layout with the offset galley on the port side forming an ideal closed U-shaped boat for sailing at sea. A meridian separates the kitchen from the living room. In addition, the front cabin can also be equipped with a toilet. In this case, the berth is not in line with the axis of the boat, but to starboard. This gives a beautiful volume to the toilet cabinet.

With this lifting keel version, the Sun Odyssey 410 offers the possibility of access to more anchorages or some shallow ports. Indeed, the draught of the keel raised is limited to 1.37m.

Low keel, on the other hand, the draught drops to 2.17 m. This is a good configuration to ensure stiffness to this already wide hull. There is no doubt that the performance under sail will be better for this lifting keel version than in the stand version (draught 1.60 m).

With this Sun Odyssey 410, Jeanneau announces that it is "the only 40-foot cruising yacht of great production equipped with this system, up to là? reserved for racing boats"... If you take a closer look at the Structure shipyard's cruise range ( Pogo 30 , 36 , 12.50 and 50 ) has already adopted this type of lifting keel in recent years...

It is certain that Jeanneau will open up again with this Sun Odyssey 410 with a lifting keel. A sailboat that is undoubtedly awaited by all sailors who sail in little water. We still have to wait for the final price, which should be around 230,000 euros.
